2.2 billion people do have adequate sanitation. Thats almost one third of all people alive today. At Children of the Nations we are doing something about this. In the Dominican Republic we will not only improve sanitation but we will improve knowledge dramatically.
Think about how many times a day you go the toilet, how many times you wash your hands in a day. Now imagine you live in the village that this little girl does, she has has no soap, and this toilet is is dark at night, hot and smelly in the day, and wet in the rains (which are heavy and long lasting). Its not even close to being adequate or OK.
