Grants

Today we submitted a grant application a foundation, this was the first time that I have been involved in this kind of thing. I co-wrote it with one of our organizational partners, a University. It is very exciting, to think about getting a grant of close to $100,000 to deliver a life changing project.  But it is also scary, and daunting - and difficult to not live in a position of "we are going to get this grant!".

And so, I am pretending we did not make the application and looking for more grant making bodies who have an interest in child health, reproductive health, primary care, and community based participatory learning.  Any ideas?

Or do you know anyone who is personally excited about this kind of stuff? We are planning initiatives in the Dominican Rep, Malawi, and Sierra Leone. We are tired of children getting diarrhea and dying, tired of young girls getting pregnant before finishing school, tired of communities having no access to basic sanitation.

So what do we need? We need you, we need your prayers, your connections, your heart.
