Two years of planning

Its amazing how even after two years of phone calls, emails and visits to the Dominican Republic somethings still slip through your fingers!  Last week, our DR water project almost slipped away into the abyss...but after much much prayer and feeling sorry for myself the project is moving forward with full affect!

We are installing a clean water system in the Batey of Los Robles.  After two years of planning and fundraising this will be our very first clean water project in the Dominican Republic.  It is a strategic (and somewhat complicated) partnership with World Water Relief, Silverdale Rotary Club, COTN and Barahona Rotary Club.

But within the next few weeks we will be providing clean water to Los Robles for the VERY FIRST TIME! This is so very encouraging, and makes my whole month knowing the beginning of a life changing difference has been made.  The picture is part of the system, which uses carbon filters and UV light to filter and purify water...
